has anyone else heard about this?
Starting in Jan if you are more than 25lbs over weight you will be given one year to reach a healthy weight and if you havent you will be charged $25 extra each month on your insurance that will go to the government.
im sorry but this sounds kinda like discrimination to me i mean selecting out one group of people??? and not all of us sit around on our asses and eat bon bons but we are to be taxed too, why do we have to be the ones to bail out the economy? this law just pissed me off but its still has to be approved so we will see.

this is stupid they already do this enough ... insurance companies refuse ppl coverage all the time becuase of there weight ... just like my friend who is in a wheelchair he is not over weight but they refuse to insure him becuase of his parylises they consider it a pre extisiting condition ,.... i really dont see this passing i mean our society is so centered around food and the fast food places will deff jump in and say hey your hurting our biz ... i dont see it passing but it doesnt suprise me about how the government trys to take more money from those who already dont have any ...

i agree i dont see it passing..what about football...how many of those guys are overweight for the game...cant tell me all of them are just muscle..lol that would be hurtting america ya know....we pull in money from these things......someone said to me today as we discussed this....that maybe the us is looking at this as a way to help get them out of debt..cause think about it...so many are overweight in america and the weight docs say we should be at...screw that...doc says i should be about 105-109...ummmm no lol.....i was 115-120 when i was skinny with a flat tummy so i dont think 105-109 would just look nasty to me ya know......this is just a dumbass thing to try to do

i think it is really really stupid too and about the fast food thing they are passing a fat tax on them as well taxing them for selling such unhealthy foods to us, but im not sure this will pass either but if it does i think its bullshit, how can they section out one group of people? and where is the extra money suppose to go anyway? and ive seen it first hand that doctors have the meds they can give us to loose weight but they wont give it to us so what the hell is it there for?? they can help you loose weight but they wont give you the stuff that helps you out?? i dont get it sometimes i really really dont, and i agree about the weight you are suppose to be just wouldnt look right, with my height im suppse to weigh 115-120 and that would look GROSS! at my best looking i weighed 140 and that was with flat tummy and everything too, they dont consider maybe everyone doesnt want to look like a walking bone
