this Thursday night, nearing midnight, gamers and zombie fans alike will be united across the country with the release of Resident Evil 5. the newest chapter in a franchise that has brought joy and horror to millions. this release in particular will be a special one, considering it will be the first time ever a Resident Evil game will be made available on the Xbox(360).
today was the first time i had gone to my local gamestop store after coming home from overseas. i was trading in the disappointing FEAR 2: Project Origin, the first game i acquired upon my return. the 30 bucks i got for it went straight to RE5's pre order and then some.
what tickled me as i left the store was a massive sign on one of the walls. it promoted not only the midnight release with the dark and beautiful gory art of the game, but it also promoted a competition for that night as well. "come dressed as a zombie. most convincing deady will slumber away with a free copy of Resident Evil 5.
the geeks will truly take over the world.
